This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

I recently relocated to Toledo from Charleston and was in search of a something with history and pleasant atmosphere. Iโm pumped that I came across this gem in Toledo. The vibe is chill and interactive. The staff is very friendly and beer flights are seriously underpriced for the quality of taste, body and hops. Iโve currently only gone twice but both times Trish and Ny (sp?) have been attentive, witty, and friendly. Food is excellent, especially for a brewery/bar feel. Board and card games available for grabs. Great first date spot, will definitely be back.

Had my sonโs wedding rehearsal dinner on Friday. Everything exceeded our expectations. Natalie was amazing to work with when planning the event. Her emails and communication were very prompt. The building and private room have a lot of character . On the day of, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Stacey and Emma were amazing servers who worked tirelessly all evening to make sure all our needs were met. Highly recommend Maumee Bay!

Fantastic service, good beer, and good pizza. The menu looks creative but we were only there for a snack before a 2 hour drive.

Nice old building. My husband loved all the beers he got in his sampler. The menu items sound really good. Ordered and shared the walleye sandwich and the salmon BLT, added a side of Brussels sprouts and upgraded some fries. Fries were fresh cut and decent. Chips pretty good. Brussel sprouts were super greasy, same with battered walleye, salmon seemed a little undercooked and bacon was greasy. We were here 8 years ago with friends and I don't remember not enjoying the food. Well, at least the beer was good according to hubby. Not really worth $55. Have a beer and eat somewhere else.

Stopped by Maumee Bay Brewing Company and, of course, had to try their Giant Pretzel ($17.50)โand it absolutely lived up to its name! This was hands down the biggest and thickest pretzel Iโve ever had. The texture was spot on: a slight crisp on the outside with a soft, pillowy inside. You get a choice of a sweet seasonal dip or beer cheese; we went with the sweet option, which was a cinnamon butter. Unfortunately, the dip was a little disappointingโit came straight from the fridge and was too firm to spread easily. If I had to do it again, Iโd go for the beer cheese instead. Since we skipped the beer cheese with the pretzel, we decided to try the Beer Cheese Soup ($7 for a bowl) instead of just a cup. It was a bit on the salty side, but dipping the pretzel in it balanced it out. We also got a 6-drink sample ($8.25), which was fun but nothing particularly standout. Still, itโs a good way to try a variety if youโre unsure what to get. Overall, the pretzel was the star, but Iโd recommend going with the beer cheese unless you prefer sweet flavors or arenโt a fan of cheese. The brewery itself has a cool and cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot to hang out. Would definitely come ba
